AR Rahman is an Indian composer, singer. A two-time winner and five-times nominee of the Academy Award (Oscar), two Grammy awards, a Golden Globe, and four Indian National Awards, A. R. Rahman is popularly known as the man who has redefined contemporary Indian music.
AR Rahman’s works are noted for integrating Eastern classical music with world music and traditional orchestral arrangements. Rahman also won a scholarship at the Trinity College of Music at Oxford University. Now, Canada has honoured the Mozart of Madras by naming a street after him in in Ontario, Canada.
